Description: Environmental leadership project is an initiative that offer community members and mostly young people a unique opportunity to develop full potential and transform promising community members into its next generation of ethical, engaged and empowering leaders. This project focuses on developing the talents and potential leadership skills of its participants in the context of their individual environment as well the community as a whole. The project is engaging potential young leader in various sectors to bring environmental impact in their work place, business and their communities.
Type of Work: a. Community Service (Hands-on activities): Volunteers will work with community members on environmental cleaning, tree planting, renovation of public open spaces and community facilities. b. Workplace Project/Educational tour: Participate in organized educational tour activities to local business, community activities etc. The aim of work place tours is to explore and understand and take challenge towards environmental leadership.
Study Theme: Sustainable life styles
Accommodation: Accommodation will be at community guest house. Basic accommodation facilities like water, electricity and toilets will be available. Rooms will be shared. Food will be provided at the project designated site. Volunteers with special dietary requirements are advised to provide information before arrival. Generally speaking volunteers are not expected to be guest but part of family engaging in all house chaos including food preparation.

- Good English language (You do not have to be fluently) also interest to learn Kiswahili.
Approximate Location: Chamazi is an urban multicultural community located about 25km from Julius Nyerere International airport, Dar es Salaam and about the same distance from Dar es Salaam city Centre. A good number of social services are available including mobile phone signals, Police station, financial and shopping centers, etc. All this makes this community attractive and accessible for people to live, work and visit. The community is accessible through public and private transport systems. Location of Chamazi community provides access to many leisure activities.
Notes: - Once a volunteer is accepted an official invitation letter from us will be issued. Our staff will be available through out to provide support in the process of visa application. Take enough time to apply the since visa process can take long.
